Robertson LLP is seeking an exceptional Employment Lawyer to build on a new practice area. This is a boutique firm that practices in Corporate Commercial Real Estate Law.
Robertson LLP provides the necessary technical, marketing and administrative tools and team to operate and grow your practice area on your own terms, along with a flexible and collegial work environment. In addition to building out a new practice area, the successful candidate will work with the firms current business clients to provide guidance and practical solutions for labour and employment law issues.
The lawyer will provide a range of legal services with emphasis on Employment, Human Rights, and Disability Law and will focus on issues between employers and employees in areas such as:
- Compensation;
- Workplace safety;
- Contentious Employment Matters;
- Discrimination and Harassment;
- Employment Contracts / Offers and Severance Packages;
- Provide employment consulting and share expertise within the firm.
The successful candidate will be 4-6 years into his/her practice, will be focused on advancing his/her career and will be results-oriented, ambitious, motivated, and a self-starter. This position is offering:

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 4-6 years post-call with experience in a combination of the following areas:
- Employment Law
- Civil Litigation
- Corporate Law
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience, excellent negotiation and communication skills, presentation skills and have an established network within the Industry. The candidate will be required to have a service-oriented approach to files and clients and be a current member in good-standing with The Law Society of Alberta.
Compensation
The successful candidate will be a full-time associate with a base salary in addition to a bonus structure.
